The family and friends of Jeannie Beatrice Trent are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on April 11, 2021, at the age of 67.

Funeral services for Jeannie Beatrice Trent, 67, of Jennings will be held at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, located at 1502 S. Main St. in Jennings, at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, with Reverend Pernell R. Trent, Sr., officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Jennings Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 9 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Peterson Cemetery.

Jeannie was born in Jennings to Sanders Trent, Sr., and Esther Harris Trent on July 5, 1953.

Jeannie worked as a cook for Popeyes. She loved life, loved to gamble and enjoyed life to the fullest. Jeannie had an overall personality like no other. She loved to entertain people with her funny personality.

She was a kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jeannie is survived by her brothers, Sanders Trent, Jr.

Jeannie is survived by her brothers, Sanders Trent, Jr. (the late Jackie) of Palmdale, Calif., Gregory Trent (Cindy) of Arizona, Johnny Trent (Haila) of New Mexico, Pernell Trent, Sr. (Connie) of Lafayette and Dakota Trent of Jennings; her sisters, Jeanette Trent (her twin) of Jennings, Sandra Mouton (the late Adron, Jr.) of Jennings, Joyce Trent of Jennings and Delilah Johnson of Dallas, Texas.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Esther Mae and Sanders Trent, Sr.; her nephew, Christopher Trent; her brother, Anthony Trent; and her sisters, Nelda Lyons, Blanquetta Abraham and Curleen Harris.

Those chosen to honor Jeannie as her pallbearers will be Julius Mouton, Adron Mouton, IV, Michael Adams, Robert Mouton and Adron Trent.
