Rosemary Webster Stagg
Mrs. Rosemary Webster Stagg, 99, of Jennings passed away peacefully in her residence surrounded by her loving family on Aug. 7, 2021.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, with visitation as St. Luke’s Episcopal at noon and services at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family is respecting her wishes to be cremated.
Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
She was born on May 24, 1922, to the late Albert and Alice Street Webster.
Mrs. Stagg was a resident of Jennings since 1958. Mary arrived in the United States from England after her marriage to Harold Stagg during WWII. She was trained as a registered nurse in England and worked for many years at Jennings American Legion Hospital as the supervisor in Labor and Delivery.
She loved her family, gardening and taking care of babies. Throughout her years, she was the happiest when taking care of others.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice Phillips of Baton Rouge and Rosemary Steil (Randy) of Covington; sons, Malcolm and Stephen Stagg (Danette), both of Jennings; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Harold Stagg; son, Vaughan Stagg; sister, Nancy Blackburn; and brothers, John and Albert Webster.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial tributes to St Luke’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 461, Jennings, LA 70546, or to the charity of your choice.
