Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Boudreaux Thibodeaux, 89, of Lake Arthur were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Visitation for Mrs. Thibodeaux began at 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and closed at 9 p.m. A Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Visitation resumed at 8 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Burial followed in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thibodeaux was born June 2, 1932, in Church Point to parents Hubert and Ida Matt Boudreaux. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, prayer warrior and friend.

Mrs. Thibodeaux was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters Altar Society. She also enjoyed going on Army Reunion trips with her husband.

Mrs. Thibodeaux loved her family dearly and enjoyed her time spent with them.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are two sons, Allen “Wally” (Pam) Thibodeaux of Gueydan and Joey (Shonda) Thibodeaux of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Audrey Moreau and Ann Hoffpauir, both of Hayes; two brothers, Joseph “Lane” Boudreaux of Walker and Kermit Boudreaux of Iota; four grandchildren, Coty (Charity) Thibodeaux, Shaylee (Austin) Heard, Peyton Thibodeaux and Abbie Thibodeaux; and four great-grandchildren, Brayden and Kate Thibodeaux and Aubree and Sadie Heard.

Her beloved husband, Nolan Thibodeaux, preceded her in death. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, would be their 68th wedding anniversary. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Wilma Gerard and Tella Granger.
