Clara ‘Claire’ Ann Wendrock Dupre’
Clara “Claire” Ann Wendrock Dupre’, 80, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, due to complications from COPD.
A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, with Rev. Monica Monk officiating.
She was born Jan. 29, 1941 in Crowley.
Claire was a true renaissance woman. She was the Homecoming Queen and graduated from Crowley High School in 1958. She was a lady of many talents, even building her own furniture. She never met a project she couldn’t master. She was as creative as she was determined, and her inspirations and style filled her home.
She enjoyed time with her friends and found comfort in her faith. Claire created a happy home for her family and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
She loved her dogs, Archie and Gracie, and her flock of hummingbird visitors. She was a business owner, renovator, master maker, good dancer and an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Wendrock (Marcie) of Spicewood, Texas, and her three children, Dawn Dupre’ (Andrea Petrucci) of Milan, Italy, Kyle Dupre’ (Mathew Lefkowitz) of New York, N.Y., and Jill Dupre’ (Josh Mayer) of New Orleans; and four grandchildren, David Petrucci, Mathilda Mayer, Miriam Petrucci and Mose Mayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Wendrock and Anne Stansbury Caffery; and her husband, Robert Turner Dupre’.
