Shawn Keith Johnson

Shawn Keith Johnson, 53, passed away Dec. 23, 2021, in Jennings American Legion Hospital surrounded by his family.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Shawn was born Jan. 22, 1968, in Welsh to Lawrence and Marie Jeanette Richard Johnson.

He worked as a diesel mechanic. He loved music, playing the guitar and tinkering with everything. But most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Meagan (Trevor) Gatte of Jennings; son Mason Johnson of Roswell, N.M.; sister Tina (Jeffery) Perry of Welsh; brother Lane Johnson of Welsh; and three grandchildren, Madeline and Olivia Gatte, and Kason Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
