Noel Gutierrez

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our father, grandfather and friend, Noel Gutierrez, passed away on April 9, 2022.

A celebration of Noel‘s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 1 p.m.

Noel was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, on Sept. 4, 1931, to Simon Gutierrez and Angelina Gutierrez.

Noel enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of his yard. You could always find him in his shop tinkering with something. His greatest joy came from spending time, having fun and making memories with family and friends.

Noel was a kind and generous man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Noel is survived by his three children, Noel Gutierrez, Jr., of Crowley, Jeanette Elliott (Richard) of Jennings and Hector Gutierrez of Dickinson, Texas; his eight grandchildren and his eight great grandchildren.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Angelina Gutierrez; his beloved wife, Aida Nieves Gutierrez; his sister, Bienvienida Gutierrez; his brother, Tony Gutierrez and his two daughters-in-law, Maria Gutierrez and Becky Gutierrez.
