The family and friends of Bridgette Sonya Durio are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on April 8, 2022, at the young age of 59.

A celebration of life for Bridgette Sonya Durio of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, with Pastor Josh Belt officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 9 a.m. until the time of her service at 3 p.m.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Bridgette was born in Lafayette to Gabriel Comeaux and Mary Hargrave Comeaux on Aug. 16, 1962. Bridgette was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her family. In her early years, she loved to crochet for her family and friends.

Bridgette loved to cook, listen to music, dance, eat crawfish and go shopping every chance she had. Most of all, Bridgette loved spending time with her family and friends and making memories.

She was a kind, and warm-hearted soul who will be immensely missed by all who loved her.

Those left to cherish the memories of Bridgette are her son, Ramsy Durio of Jennings; her daughter, Heidy Labauve (Hunter) of Jennings; her stepdaughter, Shantel Miller of Abbeville; her four grandchildren, Hayden, Hudson, Hayes and Greyson; her three brothers, Brian Keith Comeaux (Michelle) of Jennings, Michael Shane Comeaux (Nancy) of Jennings and Scotty Land Comeaux (Tammy) of Jennings and her sister, Pamela Herndon (Sammy) of Jennings.

Bridgette is now with the family that preceded in death her parents, Gabriel and Mary Comeaux; her brother, Kim Comeaux; her sister, Debbie Comeaux and her grandson, Harper Labauve.
