Eva T. Bealer Rutledge
It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Eva T. Bealer Rutledge announces her passing from this life on Oct. 29, 2022, at the age of 89.
Funeral services for Eva T. Bealer Rutledge, 89, of Evangeline were held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022.
A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her service at 2 p.m.
Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Eva was born in Maurice to Lawrence Trahan and Effie Breaux Trahan on June 15, 1933.
She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family, which she adored. Eva was also a faithful member of Forest Park Church of Christ.
In her spare time, she loved to work in her flower garden, go shopping, cook for family and friends or just sit and talk with anyone who was willing to visit with her. Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family and making memories with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a kind and beautiful soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Mitzi (Charles) Frugé of Evangeline; her sons, Douglas (Debbie) Bealer of Maurice and Henry (Betty) Bealer of Jennings; her grandchildren, Christa (Roger) Pollard of Jennings, Glenn (Dana) Daigle, Jr., Ashley (Jake) Pennington of Maurice, Stephen (Megan) Ebarb of Crowley, Amber (David) Durbin of Pineland, Texas, and Christopher Bealer of Jennings and her greatgrandchildren, Courtnie and Cameron Pollard, Gage, Tate, Brant and Addalie Daigle, Micah Pennington, Bentley, Gentry and Grayson Ebarb and Addi and Tanner Durbin; Eva is now rejoicing with the family that preceded her in death, including her parents, Lawrence and Effie Trahan; her husbands, Douglas Bealer, Sr., and Daniel Rutledge, Sr.; her brothers, Gerald Trahan and Ulysse Trahan and her sister-in-law, Anna Mae Trahan.
Those chosen to honor Eva as her pallbearers will be Doug Bealer, Henry Bealer, Cameron Pollard, Glenn Daigle, Jr., Stephen Ebarb and Christopher Bealer. Honorary pallbearer will be Gage Daigle.
