Susan Gayle Daigle
A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Susan Gayle Daigle will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church officiated by Father Keith Pellerin.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather in reverence at the church beginning at 1 p.m. today, Friday. A rosary will be recited at 1:15 p.m. in the church.
Susan was born to Henry and Bernadine Daigle in Jennings on March 5, 1955, and graduated from Jennings High School Class of 1973. Susan passed away at the age of 67 on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, in the home of her daughter in Baton Rouge.
She was previously employed at Dr. Savoy’s office in Jennings and then went on to the Jennings American Legion Hospital and worked as inpatient Medicare/ Medicaid claim biller and data processing department. Susan loved her job and was awarded Employee of the Month, recognized for her enthusiasm and dedication to serving local veterans and their families. She also went on to work for Synergy Home Health until her decision to refocus her dedication to caring for her mom and dad until their passing. She was a wonderful mother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Susan leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Britney Daigle, and granddaughter Kennedi of Baton Rouge; Judy Daigle Dupree (John) of Jennings, Kathleen Daigle Williams of Covington, Freida Daigle Simoneaux (Jules) of Rayne and Charlotte Daigle Farley (Kevin) of Stonewall; one brother, Joel Daigle (Nancy) of Jennings; two sisters-in-law, Dana Daigle and Susan Schuster Daigle and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bernadine Daigle; brothers Gene Henry Daigle and his wife Avia, formerly of East Bernard, Texas, and Glenn Daigle and Kenneth “Monkey” Daigle, both formerly of Jennings and her nieces, Jill and Megan Daigle.
