Mary Joyce Dugas Trahan

LAKE ARTHUR — Funeral services for Mary Joyce Dugas Trahan, 75, of Lake Arthur will be held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, in Miguez Funeral Home chapel in Lake Arthur, with Father Roland Vaughn officiating.

Visitation began Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, from 4-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation resumes today, Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Joyce was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Jennings to Felix and Mary Benoit Dugas.

She was a Lake Arthur High School graduate. She worked for Miguez Funeral Home as a hostess. She enjoyed going to the casino, shopping and spending time with her friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Betty Deshotel, niece Monica (Pat) LeGros and nephew Greg Dugas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Olan and Stanford “Star” Dugas.
