JENNINGS — The family of Daniel Lee “Danny” Maffit, 70, of Jennings, announces his passing on May 22, 2023.
The son of Garold and Patty Lyons Maffit, he was born August 8, 1952. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur until recent years, when he resided in Jennings. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had a large personality with a larger-than-life laugh, loved animals and most of all, cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents Bro. Garold Maffit and Patty Lyons Maffit; his sister Diane Maffit Sneed; and niece Leslie Bergeaux.
The family has chosen the wishes of cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. A memorial service and internment will be held on Friday June 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery in Jennings with Military Honors.
