Daniel Miller, 97, of Jennings passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home.
Visitation was held from 10-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024 at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas.
Funeral services followed at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024 at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Officiating was Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Charles Miller. Burial followed at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Daniel was born on April 5, 1926, in Evangeline to Louis and Lorecia Miller. He served our country proudly from 1944-1946 in WWII in the United States Army where he served in Germany and France. He then went on to become an Electrician for Texaco working as an Electrical Supervisor.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Myrtle Mae Miller; three brothers: Ervin, Hilary and Clyde Miller; sister: Iris Boril.
He is survived by his daughter, Roxie Broussard and husband, Ronnie of Groves, Texas; son: David Miller and wife, Karen of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren: Kimberly Thibodeaux, Brandon Miller, Shane Miller and Jerod Broussard; as well as ten great-grandchildren; brothers: Reive and Ted Miller of Jennings.
