Willie Ray LeJeune
JENNINGS — It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you that Willie Ray LeJeune, 70, of Welsh has left his earthly life behind on Feb. 9, 2024. Willie was born in Lafayette on Nov. 27, 1953 to Iry Joseph LeJeune and Wilma Blanchard LeJeune Leger. Willie worked as a boat captain until his retirement. He loved being out on the water. Willie was a kind and generous man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Willie is survived by his wife Linda D. LeJeune; his brother, James LeJeune (Barbara); his sister, Paula Sue LeJeune (Terry); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Iry Joseph LeJeune and Wilma Blanchard LeJeune Leger; his brothers, Ervin LeJeune and Eddie LeJeune; his sister, Elsie LeJeune Richard; his mother-in-law, Ella Teal and fatherin- law, John I. Domingue.
A Celebration of Willie’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at 11 a.m.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at 8 a.m. and continue until the time of his service at 11 a.m.
