Judy Istre LeJeune

JENNINGS — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Judy Istre LeJeune, 84, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

The family is requesting the visiting hour to be held Thursday, Sept. 5 from 2-8 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday, Sept. 6 at 8 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Judy was a loving and giving mother who spent her life dedicated to her children and her church. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Judy is survived by her children, Curtis LeJeune and his wife Kathy of Welsh, Yvette Benoit and her husband Steven of Jennings, Monica Tall and her husband Jerome of Hathaway, Udell LeJeune, Jr. and his wife Charlotte of Jennings; grandchildren Cody, Logan and Stuart LeJeune, Christopher Benoit, Katlyn Bowers, Landon Benoit, Jenny Dennis, Michelle Darden, Kade and Dillin LeJeune; greatgrandchildren Hayden, Carson, Will, Hunter, Jackson, Catherine, Leann, Josiah, Adriana and Lucas; great-greatgrandchild, Lily; sisters, Patricia Gotte and her husband Floyd and Cynthia Leckelt; brother Fritz Istre and wife Norma.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Udell “Bozo” LeJeune, Sr.; parents Placide and Marie Istre; great-grandchild, Benjamin Bowers.
