Bulldogs make it 5 straight with win over Oberlin
OBERLIN – The Jennings Bulldogs ran their winning streak to five straight earlier in the week with an impressive 12-6 victory over Oberlin.
The Bulldogs (6-4) belted out eight hits on the evening, including three for extra bases.
Kolby Britt led the charge with two knocks and two RBI. Payton Mitchell and Kye Cary each had one hit and two RBI. Mitchell’s hit was a double.
Kole Myers tripled and drove in one run, Kamron Richard and Luke Benoit each singled and had one RBI and Nick Zeman rounded out the offense with a single.
Ian Mullen started the game on the mound for the Bulldogs and surrendered five runs on six hits and four walks. He struck out three in three innings.
Zeman pitched the final four innings, allowing one run on one hit and one walk. He struck out six over the final four innings.
The Bulldogs return to action today when they travel to Fairview for a 5 p.m. contest.
Fairview will then turn around and play Jennings at home Friday at 5:30 p.m., weather permitting
