Herman Paul Reed

A Mass of Christian Burial for Herman Paul Reed, 85, will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iota with Fr. Paul LaFleur, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church-Evangeline, officiating the services. A rosary will be recited Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 16 and from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17. Mr. Herman P. Reed died on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:35 p.m. in Evangeline, La. He is survived by one daughter, Shawn R. Fontenot (Andrew) of Welsh; one grandson, Scott R. Fontenot of Welsh; three step-grandchildren, Jaime Fontenot, Lolita Wittge, and Libby Ridenour. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie LaCombe Reed; his parents, Jerome and Evelyn Marcantel Reed; one sister, Hilda Greenman; one brother, Herbert Reed. Pallbearers will be Scott Fontenot, Glen Greenman, Keith Reed, Kenneth LaCombe, Ralph LaCombe and John Peyton Brown.
