Loney Boudreaux Cormier

LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Mrs. Loney Boudreaux Cormier, 87, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, in Miguez Funeral Home, with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation was held from 1:30-9 p.m. Thursday and continued from 8 a.m. today, Friday, until time of services.

A rosary was recited in the funeral home chapel at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Cormier died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, in Lafayette General Hospital.

Mrs. Cormier was a lifelong resident of Iowa and was a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing and gardening. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed having them over. She loved the New York Yankees and the New Orleans Saints.

Survivors include her three sons, Wade (Bonnie) Cormier of Gueydan, Steven Cormier of Cecilia and Harry (Donita) Cormier of Iowa; three sisters, Francis Leger of Iowa, Cheryl Guidry of Lake Arthur and Pat Higginbottom of Lake Arthur; one brother, Lester Boudreaux of Orange, Texas; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Minnie Morine Boudreaux; and her husband, Euclide Cormier.
