Allen Ray Guidry

LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Mr. Allen Ray Guidry, 71, of Jennings were held Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Clifton LeJeune officiating.

Visitation for Mr. Guidry was held Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, from 2-9 p.m. Visitation resumed Monday from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Guidry was a native of Lake Arthur and lived in this area his entire life. He worked as a derrickhand in the oil and gas industry.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Julie (Chad) Guidry of Jennings and Crystal (Dana) Donnell of Iowa; a son, Marshall (Heather) Guidry of Jennings; a sonin-law, Anthony “Tony” Duhon of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Merle Dugas of Gueydan and Theresa Ivey of Alabama; two brothers, Lester Guidry of Lake Arthur and Gregory Guidry of Zwolle; 10 grandchildren, Colbey (Alacia) Duhon, Marisa (Wilton) Seaux, Darrion (Samantha) Stoute, Derrick Stoute, MiKayla Robinson, Ryan Guidry, Emily Guidry, Caleb Guidry, Anna Guidry and Alexander Fontenot; and three great-grandchildren, Aydden Stoute, Adalynn Stoute and Joseph Seaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Zepherien and Zilda Benoit Guidry; his wife, Sybil Guidry; his son, Kenneth Guidry; and a brother, Ernest Guidry.
