Kyung Soon Boonperm

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Kyung Soon Boonperm announces her passing from this life on Dec. 13, 2018 at the age of 57.  

Funeral services for Kyung Soon Boonperm, 57, of Lake Charles will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Haewon Lee officiating.  

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning on Saturday, Dec. 15,  from 11 a.m. until the time of her service at 1 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Kyung was born in Seoul, South Korea, on Oct. 6, 1961.  Kyung was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the care of her family and she loved to cook Korean food. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kyung loved Jesus Christ and was a member of the Korean Church of Louisiana in Lafayette, where she will be missed greatly by her church family.  She was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kyung is survived by her two daughters, Chasity Francis (Doris) of Lake Charles and Zenetta Lee of Jennings; her son, Dominick Park of Chicago, Ill.; her three grandchildren, Makenzie Francis, Makayden Francis and Malaysia Francis; her adopted sister, Lucretia Achane; as well as special family friends that have helped her through the years, Hyung Soon Soularie and Tim and Bongki Alleman.

Kyung was preceded in death by her son, Zachariah Young Lee.
