The family and friends of Sharon Jane Miller are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on April 22, 2019, at the age of 65.

A Mass of Christian burial for Sharon Jane Miller, 65, of Evangeline will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Iota on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 2 p.m., with Reverend Jude Thierry officiating.

The family requests that you join them in a gathering of family and friends at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings beginning Thursday, April 25, at 10 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass on Friday, April 26, at 2 p.m.. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 6 p.m. by Sherry Ardoin.

Burial will follow in Grace Community/Miller French Cemetery.

Sharon was born in Jennings to Hubert J. Ardoin and Lelia Gotte Ardoin on May 23, 1953. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the care of her family. Sharon loved the outdoors, going camping and relaxing on her porch. Her greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sharon also loved her dog, “Taco Miller.” She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Harry Miller of Evangeline; her son, Donald D. Miller (Dawn) of Houston, Texas; her two daughters, Tanya L. Gary (Michael) of Iota and Heather N. Casiano (Willie) of Evangeline; her three brothers, Gerald Ardoin (Betty) of Iota, Robert Ardoin (Sherry) of Egan and Timothy Ardoin (Nicole LeBlanc) of Hathaway; her sister, Carol Wriborg (Dickey) of Toledo Bend; as well as her eight beautiful grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, Leah, Issac, Koben, Jacob, Jared and Shawn.

Sharon was preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Lelia Ardoin; and four grandchildren, Gavin, Baron, Caleb Casiano and Meah Miller.

Carrying Sharon to her final resting place will be Kenny Wriborg, Keelan Wriborg, Willie Casiano, Michael Gary, Chad Ardoin and Rick Ardoin.
