My most embarrassing moment (among others) was when I was first invited to travel with my in-laws on a skiing trip (they should’ve known better). Previous family videos show happy people going up the mountain — then down the mountain. Then up. Then down. Then up. Then down. Up. Down. Up. Down. Up. Down (are we having fun yet?). Arriving at our destination I beheld crowds adorned in the latest colorful fashion in ski attire from ‘air-o-postolic,’ all getting into the mountain up-down-up-down fun thing.

Elton moves win streak to 12

MERRYVILLE - The Elton Indians continued to chop down opponents this week as they defeated the Merryville Panthers by a final of 90-61 on the road. The win extends the Indians’ win streak up to 12 games, and keeps them atop the district 4-lA standings at 10-0. Elton improved it’s overall mark to 16-3, and stayed sitting at No. 2 in all of Class A behind powerful North Central High School. Once again, the Indians used a balanced scoring attack to earn the big win by placing five players in double figures, however Sherman Bellow had an exceptional night by pouring in a gamehigh 30 for Elton.
