LADY TIGERS SWEEP THROUGH WELSH TOURNEY

WELSH -The Lake Arthur Lady Tigers’ (LA) softball team continued to roll over the weekend as they grabbed a 3-game sweep at the Welsh High School Tournament at Sportsman’s Park The No. 9-ranked Lady Tigers upped their sparkling overall mark to 13-3 overall with a 10-0 win over East Beauregard, a 14-4 victory over Vinton and 10-4 win over Pickering. The Lady Tigers have a busy week scheduled, as they welcomed in Welsh Monday for a district dash and travel to 6-2A power Notre Dame on Wednesday. LA will turn around and hit the road Thursday to do battle with St. Edmund in Eunice and then welcome in Jennings to Dicky Chapman Complex in Lake Arthur on Saturday.

WELSH - The Welsh Lady Greyhounds took two-of-three games in their Welsh High School Softball Tournament over the weekend by blasting Vinton 17-1, thumping East Beauregard 14-8, but dropped a heart breaker to Crowley by a count of 10-9.
