Pre-ACT, ACT testing parishwide next week

All 10th grade students in Jeff Davis Parish will take the pre-ACT at school at no cost (funded by a grant) Tuesday, March 9. Scores provide valuable insights into students’ predicted performance on the ACT. Pre-ACT reporting includes both academic and career indicators, which are designed to identify strengths and areas for improvement, providing a complete view of students’ college and career readiness. These results can also be used for admission for dual enrollment.

Hornets advance to Class B quarterfinals

The No. 3 Hathaway Hornets advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Class B playoffs with a convincing 67-45 win over the visiting No. 14 Chaudrant Aggies. The Hornets lead for just about all of the game and steadily increased their lead throughout the contest.
