The Jennings Bulldogs capped off their preseason Friday night by taking on arguably the most storied football program in the state of Louisiana in the John Curtis Christian Patriots. The Patriots were able to flex their muscles in a 39-6 victory over the Dogs in a game that featured two 12-minute halves of football. The talented Patriots fired on all cylinders in the win, however the Dogs displayed the ability to fight back but suffered through some crucial penalties and mistakes.

LAKE ARTHUR – The Lake Arthur Tigers ran into a buzz saw Thursday night in the Acadia/Vermillion Jamboree held at Jack Doland Memorial Stadium. The Kaplan Pirates scored early and often in their 33-13 victory over the Tigers in the shortened game. The Pirates scored 25 unanswered first-half points, before the Tigers were able to put up two scored in the second half to make the final 33-13. Lake Arthur Head Coach Tarius Davis discussed his team’s performance, and pointed to continuing to get better on both sides of the football.
