Philip Hale, 70, of Sulpher, was charged with domestic abuse battery.

Joshua Blaine Mallett, 32, of Jennings, was charged with false imprisonment, domestic abuse battery and aggravated battery.

Monday, October 11

Angel Love White, 28, of Jennings, was charged with two counts of simple battery and theft.

Iowa, Deville erupt for 56-19 win over Jennings

The No.6-ranked Iowa Yellow Jackets came into Jerry Simmons Stadium as advertised and handed the Jennings Bulldogs a 56-19 defeat in week seven.

The Jackets strayed perfect at 7-0, 2-0 in league play, while the Dogs dropped to 2-5 overall, 1-1 in district action.

It was a game of big plays all night for both teams, as every scoring play went for 25 yards or over.

The Welsh Greyhounds picked up a big non-district win Friday night when they toppled 4A LaGrange by a final of 34-27 at Greyhound Stadium.

Stay safe from predators this Halloween

A U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Children’s Bureau report found in 2010 that 9.2 percent of victimized children were sexually assaulted.

One in five girls and one in 20 boys are victims of child sexual abuse. Every state, territory and even Native-American tribes have a public sex registry.

Every jurisdiction’s registry includes information about individuals who have been convicted of a sex offense and are required to register as a sex offender in that jurisdiction, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Dear Editor,

What scares me about the approval polls for this administration is not that Biden is sinking faster than a torpedoed rowboat. What is truly scary is that 35 percent of the people could approve of this administration! How can any rational American approve of the disaster this administration has been in just 9 months, and those really in control have no intention of doing any better! They are pursuing the destruction of this nation at a breakneck pace regardless of public opinion! Biden’s approval should be very near zero.
