The Jennings Bulldogs will look to open the 2021 district 4-3A season off with a bang tonight when they travel to Sulphur to take on the St. Louis Saints. The contest will serve as the league opener for both squads, as the Saints ended non-district play with a mark of 3-2, while the Dogs are currently sitting at 1-4. Jennings dropped a tough road decision to Sterlington last Friday night by a final of 45-14, while the Saints toppled LaGrange by a count of 30-6.

LAKE ARTHUR - The Lake Arthur Tigers will face a daunting test tonight when they hit the road to Acadiana to battle 2A power Lafayette Christian Academy to open up 6-2A action. The Tigers come into the contest with a 2-3 mark, while the Knights sport a 4-1 record. The Knights have big wins over 4A Westgate (19-7), 5A Lafayette High (47-27)), 5A Acadiana High (14-13) and 2A St. Helena Academy (35-0). The Knights’ lone loss came at the hands of nationally ranked 5A power Catholic of Baton Rouge by a final of 38-17 in week five.
