Thousands of Louisiana children are in foster care, unsure of where they will go next. Many will be reunited with their families, however, that is not the case for all of them, unfortunately.
November is National Adoption Awareness Month.
The goal for any child taken out of their home or removed from their family is reunification as soon as possible, but what happens when that isn’t possible? The children stay within the foster care system until someone is interested in them or they age out and become too old to be a ward of DCSF.
