Diamond Dogs fall to New Iberia, 3-2

The Jennings Bulldogs dropped a heartbreaker to the New Iberia Yellow Jackets Wednesday afternoon at Danny Reed Field by a final of 3-2 on a chilly afternoon. The two teams locked into a pitchers duel, however the Jackets were able to take advantage of four Jennings errors to walk away with the one-run win. Senior Devin Polk tossed 5 dazzling innings for the Dogs, giving up three runs, only one earned, and allowed only three hits and struck out 12 batters. Ethan Jardell came out of the bullpen and hurled two scoreless frames, and didn’t allow a hit and fanned three.

Jennings tennis off to hot start in 2022

Recently, the Bulldog Tennis Team began their tennis season for the 2021- 2022 school year. The team has competed in a total of 7 matches so far. Their opponents were DeRidder, Alexandria, Teurlings Catholic, Saint Louis Catholic, St. Thomas More, and Welsh. The Lady Bulldogs won their matches against DeRidder and tied with Alexandria, and the boys’ team won their match against Saint Louis Catholic.

Lady Dogs hold off Erath Bobcats 3-2, improve to 5-5

The Jennings Lady Dogs softball team hosted the Erath Lady Bobcats Tuesday on a cold, windy afternoon Tuesday. Erath took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, then Jennings tied the game 2-2 in the second inning and would score a run in the third inning to give the Lady Dogs a 3-2 win
