BATON ROUGE, La. – No. 11/15 LSU (42-17) drops a pair of instant classic games to UL-Lafayette (50-14), who advances to the Super Regionals. After falling short in game one 7-4, LSU overcame a six-run deficit and took the lead before coming up short 9-8 in the elimination game Sunday night at Tiger Park.

PREPARING TO SHIP ANOTHER CAR CABBAGE Jan. 2, 1910

The marketing department of the chamber of commerce is preparing to ship a car of cabbage within the next week or ten days. It is anxious to have all farmers in the parish who have cabbage for bulk sale to notify the secretary at once. Dr. C. E. Hunter reports he has approximately five tons: J. M. Hoke of Roanoke has an equal amount but a minimum car is 12 and the chamber of commerce is anxious to locate two or three tons of small lots, and it is with this in view it is soliciting all farmers having a surplus of cabbage to notify it at once.
