The Jennings Bulldogs and Welsh Greyhounds squared off in a big parish battle Monday night at Gaudet Gymnasium on the final day of winter break. The Dogs used a gigantic first half to build a huge lead then withstood a late Greyhound rally to claim an 87-68 win. With the win, the Dogs improved to 8-7 overall, while the Hounds fell to 3-7. Jennings was back in action on Tuesday night when they hosted the LCA Knights in a big non-district match-up. Welsh was back in action on Tuesday as well as they played host to the East Beauregard Trojans. The Dogs used a pair of huge nights by Jeremy Legros and Chris Ned to pace the scoring attack. Legros canned 31 points, while Chris Ned dropped in 30 to push the Dogs to the win. Jonavon Begnaud has a big night for the Hounds as he poured in 22 points, while Sawyer Guinn dropped in 19 on a big shooting night.
