Fair queen contestants announced

Twelve girls representing six Jefferson Davis Parish high schools will be vying for the title of 2019 Jefferson Davis Parish Fair Queen. The annual pageant is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Jefferson Davis Parish Fairgrounds.

According to Queen Chairman Brandy LaBouve, these young ladies competing for the title of Jeff Davis Parish Fair Queen are juniors and seniors at their respective high schools. These contestants were selected either by the student body or through a local school pageant.

When I walked through the back door, I saw a box in the center of the room through which I must pass in order to reach my office. Everyone was watching for my reaction.
