Jody and Heather Thibeaux of Iota announce the birth of their daughter Renley Jules, born Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Renley weighed six pounds, nine ounces at birth and was 18 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her big sister, Revyn.

Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Charlene Neal of Hathaway and paternal grandparents are Kathy Thibeaux of Roanoke and the late Larry Thibeaux.

Christopher Ray LaFosse and Lauren Jayne Ardoin were united in Holy Matrimony Nov. 3, 2018, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Father Charles McMillin officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Dwain and Peggy Ardoin of Jennings. Her grandparents include Amos Ardoin of Jennings, the late Jayne Ardoin, the late Lawrence Ardoin and the late Delores Ardoin. She is a 2006 graduate of Jennings High School and a 2010 BSN graduate of McNeese State University. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at Lafayette General Health and Calcasieu Urgent Care.

Young Celebrates 100th Birthday

Alicia Young of Basile turned 100 years old on Tuesday Jan. 8. Young celebrated with her family including her children, Jane Kittler, of Bossier City, Judy Fontenot, of Basile and Hubert Young, of Lake Charles. Unable to attend was son Harry Young, of Basile. She is also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
