During the August meeting of American Legion Post 283 from Welsh, American Legion Department of Louisiana 7th District Vice Commander Glenn McFarlain (far right) installed the Post’s Officers who will serve for 2018-2019, including (left to right) Cdr. Four-H Members Earn Trip

Jeff Davis students Isaac Temple and Dani Thibodeaux recently returned from a 4-H trip to Grand Isle State Park. The students earned the trip after their 4-H record books placed at state competition.

At the park, Temple and Thibodeaux went fishing and crabbing, camped in tents, toured nearby islands and learned about wildlife and marine life, just to name a few of their adventures.
