COMMUNITY CALENDAR

Items for Community Calendar must be submitted during regular weekday business hours at least two weeks prior to the day of the event. Events run in the order of their posted dates and ONLY AS SPACE ALLOWS. Events more than two weeks away may not run until closer to the event. Community Calendar is offered as a public service bulletin for Jeff Davis Parish community and non-profit events. Send entries to editor@jenningsdailynews.net. To publicize your event in a specific format on a specific day or date, call 337-8243011 to speak to an advertising representative.

HEAD START AWARENESS MONTH

Head Start Awareness Month affords the opportunity to raise awareness for this vital program which benefits millions of families and children in the U.S. in need of childcare. Save the Children Head Start in Jennings showed their support by having a week of fun and wacky dress up days, bringing in the Jennings High School Band to kick off the week. Public officials were also invited to read to the children.
