Dear Editor,

I was raised in Jennings as my father was a minister and had a church there.

We walked a mile to school, rain or shine, since the school bus only transported kids that were outside of the city limits.

Jennings, at that time, was one of the cleanest cities in the state with no trash anywhere!

All original artworks are unique as they are usually handmade and one-of-akind, but what actually makes art unique is the artist.

Recently, Jennings Daily News launched a search to find some of the most unique artists in Jeff Davis Parish. The quest resulted in six artists being chosen to have their work featured in our newspaper, as well as participate in an opening at the Zigler Art Museum.

With grass cutting season upon us, it may seem harmless to blow your yard debris into the streets or sidewalks, but in actuality it can be quite problematic and even dangerous.
