Lady Hornets drain 14 trifectas in big win over Ruston

LAFAYETTE – The Hathaway Lady Hornets opened the prestigious St. Thomas More High School Invitation on Monday and quickly made their presence known. The tournament features some of the best big school girls’ basketball teams in the state, however the Lady Hornets showed they can play with anyone by taking down 5A Ruston High School in their opener by a final of 64-35. The win moved the Lady Hornets out to 7-2 on the young season. Hathaway placed three scorers in double figures in the contest, and also drained 14 3-pointers in the victory.
