LACASSINE — Heading into his senior season on the baseball diamond, Landon Vidrine has already won a state championship, been named to the All-District Team, All-Parish Team, the Class A All-State Team and found his name on an illustrious All-Region Team littered with the top talent from Class C to 2A in Southwest Louisiana. However, it’s his sense of humility and loyalty that shines the brightest when discussing the left-handed pitcher. Vidrine, who has grown up in the Lacassine area, is heading into his final campaign at Oberlin High School with a lot on his plate. With helping to get the proud Tiger baseball program back to elite status on the tops of his list, Vidrine is also following his dream of playing college baseball. However, as revealed by a host of memorial bracelets wrapped around his wrist, it’s others that always come first in his mind.
