Hornets breeze past Reeves in first round of Hathaway tourney

HATHAWAY - The Hathaway High School Hornets (HHS) came out Thursday night firing on all cylinders as they jumped out to a 7-0 run to start the game against the Reeves High School Raiders (RHS) and never looked back. The Hornets starting five gave HHS a commanding lead putting up 27 points in the first period and didn’t see much action after that as several Hornets came off the bench to finish off the Raiders 59-26 improving to 6-0 on the season.

LACASSINE – The Lacasine Lady Cardinals (LHS) blew past the Pitkin Tigers Tuesday night by a final of 67-52 at John Juneau Gymnasium behind a barrage of three-point shooting. The Lady Cards (6-2) used nine 3-balls in the 15-point win over the Lady Tigers. In the nightcap, the Tigers used a big second-half surge to close out the Cardinals in the boys’ game by a final of 80-60.
