CROWLEY - A trio of Jeff Davis Parish baseball standouts played vital roles in helping the Crowley Cajuns Colt League Team get off to a dominant start here at the 2018 Colt South Zone Tournament with a blistering 15-1 win over Gulf Coast of Texas. The Cajuns advanced to play a squad based out of San Antonio in the winner’s bracket finals on Friday. The winner of the 4-team tournament hosted at Historic Miller Stadium will advance to the Colt League World Series to be played in Marion, Illinois next week.

Tiger baseball strikes partnership with Marucci Sports

BATON ROUGE – LSU and Marucci Sports announced on Thursday a deal for Marucci to become the official baseball equipment provider for the Tigers.

As part of the partnership, Marucci will be the Tigers’ exclusive provider of bats, fielding and batting gloves, catcher’s gear, bags and other protective products. Additionally, the LSU baseball team and coaching staff will play a key role in the future design and development of Marucci products.
