The original home for KJEF was located on the west side of La. 26 south heading toward Lake Arthur. This undated picture from the 1940's includes Max Thomas, the original owner, along with his father and brother the day the station went on the air.
The existence of a local "hippie house" was made public for the first time Tuesday when the Jennings City Council heard a plea from some 80 "concerned parents" that "something be done" about the situation.
