BASILE – The No. 1-ranked Elton Lady Indians stretched their winning streak to seven games last Friday night as they went on the road and chopped down rival Basile by a final of 74-40. The Lady Indians placed four players in double figures in the lopsided win, and upped their overall record to 16-7, 8-1 in district 4-1A play. Elton is still locked in a tie for the district lead with No. 4 Merryville after the two split their two league games head-to-head. Basile continued to struggle in league play, falling to 7-17 overall, 0-8 in 4-1A.
