On June 12 the members of James O. Hall Post 19 of the American Legion, Department of Louisiana, from Jennings conducted a Flag Retirement Ceremony near their Post home on Market Street. They were assisted by members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 19.

The Kyle Andrew Broussard Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Memorial Scholarship is given to one male and one female student from across Southwest Louisiana annually. This year, both recipients were from Jennings High School (JHS).
