Well, it would seem that hurricanes are good for the economy. We have an influx of people from near and far, some refugees, some utility workers from other states and regions, some construction workers seeking high-paying jobs, some laborers just looking for work and some volunteers who are looking to pay it forward. Collectively, they are renting or buying a place to live, temporarily or semipermanently; they are eating in restaurants when available, they are buying gas, oil, tires, clothes, groceries, ice, drinks and whatever necessities or staples available.
