LAKE ARTHUR — The Lake Arthur boys and girls basketball teams hosted their parish rivals Welsh Tuesday night in district games. In the girls game, the Lady Hounds led 12-10 after the first period, but the Lady Tigers would then roll on to a 63-27 win. The boys game was a battle for fist place in district 5-2A. The Greyhounds and Tigers battled for eight lead changes and three ties. Lake Arthur led 30-27 at half, but the Hounds would outscore the Tigers 34-22 in the second half to win 61-52.
