Ivy Woods is seeking re-election to the office of Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff for his fourth term. Woods, who first ran and won the race for sheriff in 2011, was a state trooper with Louisiana State Police (LSP) before becoming Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff. “I am uniquely qualified,” he said. “While patrolling the roads of the parish, I learned the concerns of our citizens and the problems we face. I have worked to fix these problems while serving as sheriff. If fortunate enough to be re-elected as your sheriff, I will continue to restore the confidence of the people of our parish while providing leadership.”
