WELSH — With the extreme draught, no garden in Welsh is growing. The only thing growing in Welsh is the injury report for the high school football team. The Greyhounds could easily be considered a Mash unit. Welsh head coach Ronnie Courville is spending his time figuring out who to play and what positions to put players at. “We are having to move some players around to compensate for those who will be missing,” stated Courville. The injuries begin with senior tailback Hayden vanNess, who will miss with a shoulder injury. VanNess had over 100 yards rushing in the first period against Westlake before going down with the injury. Luke Luntsford will miss this week’s contest with a hip injury, while junior Cameron Bouley is still out with a broken foot. Senior LaTroy Pattum has a knee injury and is questionable, as are senior linebackers Carter Phelps and Cohen Cormier with yet two more shoulder injuries. The good news is that several players who had to serve suspen sions for breaking team rules will be back this week.
