Gunman breaks into Colorado Supreme Court building; intrusion unrelated to Trump case, police say

DENVER (AP) — A man leaving the scene of a car wreck Tuesday shot his way into the Colorado Supreme Court building and inflicted “extensive damage” to the building before being arrested by police, authorities said, adding the incident seems unrelated to the court's recent ruling banning former President Donald Trump from the ballot.

Welsh to grant permits

WELSH — Effective immediately, the Town of Welsh will be responsible for processing permit requests for its residents through Welsh Town Hall. The Jennings Bulldogs claimed a Jeff Davis Parish win over the Hathaway Hornets on Friday night at Gaudet Gymnasium by a final of 89-64. The Dogs moved to 9-4 with the win and currently sit at No. 10 in the latest Division II non-select power ratings. The Bulldogs placed five players in double figures, led by Jeremy Legros’ 19 tallies. Hathaway placed three in double digits, led by Brennon Monceaux’s 19.
