CLEARWATER, Fla. – Raeleen Gutierrez was a single shy of completing the cycle as she led No. 12 LSU (6-0) past Georgia Tech (3-5), 12-8 Thursday afternoon on day one of the 2024 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational at the Eddie C. Moore Complex.

Father Clyde Thomas applied blessed ashes to the foreheads of senior citizens at the Jeff Davis Living Center. Thomas made several stops to facilities in the parish for residents who were unable to leave their homes, including the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home.

February 19, 1927 Coming on the heels of two weeks of springtime weather, during which period brave fruit trees had the tenacity to blossom out in all the magnificence of spring attire, Wednesday a great downpour of rain flooded the Jennings. The precipitation measuring nearly four inches, most of which fell within a few hours.
