Three knee surgeries and a plethora of broken bones would be enough to make any athlete hang up their spikes. However, for one Jennings softball player, it’s been a mere bump in the road in what has become an illustrious career. Kylie Price is a senior at Jennings High School and has gone through all of those aforementioned injuries and has still managed to rack up awards along with carrying a whopping 4.12 grade point average throughout her high school days. She is a three-sport student-athlete who also plays volleyball and throws the javelin for the Lady Bulldog track team. Price got into the subject of how she started playing softball, but it came from a non-competitive baseball league to start.

As humans, we need water, food and sleep. OK — more than that. We also need a good immune system, among other things. But thanks to plants and the sun, we as humans can eat, breathe and live. Ultimately, our survival depends on them.
