On Oct. 16, Diocese of Lake Charles Knights of Columbus Administrator Rizzuto (left) presented the Columbian Award to Knights of Columbus Council 2012 from Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Jennings. Accepting the award on behalf of the council was Past Grand Knight Carl Benoit (center) and Deputy Grand Knight Frank Angelle (right). This award is presented by the Knights’ International Headquarters to councils who have achieved excellence in volunteer programming activities involving church, community, council, culture of life, family and youth. This is the 21st year in a row the council has won the Columbian Award.
